What are the APTA guidelines when recommending exercise as cog of a comprehensive treatment to a patient beside obesity and is a smoker?
i.e. do we enjoy to take bp, heart rate, specific parameter?Physical Therapy request for information?
I wouldn't believe that the APTA would be the appropriate source of information as this is a medical question. HOWEVER, I beleive the APTA would encourage any guidelines promoted by the American Heart Association, American Lung Association, or Cardiologists's Association.
To answer your question more specifically, you obligation to monitor tests and vitals as appropriate to your recommended treatment. For instance, if you are focusing on body mechanics and posture training, I would not necessarily say these vitals stipulation to be taken regularly. However, if your treatment is to include any progressive resistive exercise or any cadiovascular exercise, it would certainly be appropriate to embezzle the very imperative signs you mentioned.
I would go to the AHA, etc. for more specific guidelines.
Oh man, that's serious. You get to get wholesome. But research it, I do not know much about the APTA guidelines. Visit your doctor and group information. However, develop better health behaviour. Try to quit smoking, which is difficult and take walk everyday to burn off your calories. Sorry, is it you beside the problem or is it a patient?
