My father has have his finger nails turn similar to a dark grey to a surrounding substance brown color..i'm guessing it is a fungal or something...he took lamisil and looked like he be gonna drop dead so i made him stop. Has anybody ever have to deal near or know how to rid of them? He's had it for almost 6 years. Let me list the process since explaining is a bit confusing,,,sorry =(
- majority nails
- curled up approaching spoons
- fell off
- grew wager on a year later into a concrete dark shell beside straight crippled ends (so hard that it take so many staple files to take it down a milimeter.Nail Fungal?
Perhaps your dad should see a foot doctor aka as a Podiatrist.
Hi, sounds approaching nail fungal to me . Best to be sure though by getting your Dad to shift and visit his Doctor.
If it is a fastener fungal , it is treated by a course of antibiotics over about a 3 month term , maybe longer contained by your Fathers case LOL. As he's have it for a long time, may require longer treatment.
My husband had it for a long time as in good health, though not as long as your Fathers! He went and saw his Doctor and that be what was prescribed after they took staple clippings for biopsy.
Tell your Dad to be careful though, coz if it get infected, can be very insecure .
Hope this has help :)
