All of the skin circular around the hole is swollen. It isn't too noticeable, but when I give somebody a lift the ring out, if you feel the piercing 'wound' so to speak, it feel like a small pea.. Why wont the swelling step down? What should I try?Pierced my lip 3 weeks ago, it isn't infected, yet-?
Put some ice on it, it might not work, but its worth a shot right? You might want to stop taking the ring out though, because I dont presume your supposed to until its healed. The same article happened to me but I a moment ago let it step and it healed up fine. I cogitate it might be normal. And the previous answerer is right- guys next to lip piercings are really hot. =)

FYI- lip piercings are hot!
This may be a mucocele (muco = mucus; cele = tumor). Mucoceles go on as a result of trauma that ruptures the duct of a minor salivary gland in the lower lip; mucin escapes and cause inflammation. The inside of your lower lip has voluminous salivary ducts that are easily injured by piercing.
Mucoceles are more adjectives than they once were due to the popularity of lip piercings, but at hand is still not a lot on the Internet roughly them. Try http://netwellness.org/healthtopics/mout...
You may also want to contact your piercer with this interview. Without a photo of the affected nouns, it is difficult to tell what it might be. I of course hope you don't have to remove your piercing!
