he has begin to vomit and run a fever. we don't know how illustrious of a fever but he is hot and have the chills. my mom thinks that the cumoden( i hope i spelled it right) the blood thinner is what is making him sick. should they stop somewhere to capture more help or is this common after a strokeNeed info on strokes....father have a stoke while on leave surrounded by the mountains. they are on nearby style home.?
The symptoms you described are inconsistent with occurence of a stroke. While that can't be ruled out, I'd suggest you phone your parents as quickly as possible and enjoy them seek medical assistance. I'm hoping that your father is sensitive to increased altitude and is suffering from altitude sickness, which is associated with vomiting, frenzy (sometimes), headache, occasional disorientation, hemoptysis ( coughing up blood) or bloody noses. The ending two of course are exacerbated by coumadin, a blood thinner used tp prevent excessive clot formation within people next to artificial heart valves, atrial fibrillation or weighty vein thrombosis, etc. Actually, compromise related to any of these conditions could incentive some of the symptoms you've described.
While symptoms of a stroke are varied, they usually include change in affect, cognition, memory, movement - these are usually subtle to some extent than the more physical symptoms you've described.
Regardless of my opinion, youre dad should take a CT scan of his head, d¨|colletage, chest and abdomen ASAP to determine if he's have a bleed to his head or a pulmonary embolus, etc. Good Luck - agree to us know how he is.
You need to appointment 911 right away and alert them of the situation. If you are not a physician how do you know he is having a stroke if conceivably something else. Whatever the situation he need medical attention ASAP. Asking yahoo for assistance is wasting time. Call 911 NOW!
